Before 3Live, there was the ‘Three House’ structure, designed by Rob and local artist Maser. However successful in engaging with festival goers, it was extremely labour intensive to setup and the the scaff system used to provide the structural integrity took up a lot of the the valuable footprint.

With the intention of turning up at EP, longitude and some other smaller festivals every year, Three were in need if a reusable, scalable, modular structure that would last years, hold up to the punishment of festival goers and repeated assembly and disassembly. Also super premium and reflect the brand.

Using shipping containers for the framework solved some of these issues, but did not reflect the brand, until they were laid out in the shape of their icon, heavily modified and clad. It took six 40 foot containers + another four 20 footers (2 of these as satellite charging stations), the scale of the project and the standard of finish required working with the best in the business to produce. Stage One were brought in on the project to ensure the output was world class.

The result was the ultimate festival structure, with viewing deck and stage on the roof, nightclub in the middle, custom merch studio on one side, charging station and green screen studio on the other, with any of these been potentially used in isolation of the others.

The structure can still be seen at festivals today, albeit with some modifications over the years has engaged with half a million + festival goers at EP and longitude alone.
